Redesign: CMC Magazine

JTDC worked with the Office of Communications at Claremont McKenna College to redesign their 30-year-old college magazine, CMC. The new look included the use of larger, more engaging images; a new section that focuses on current CMC-focused stories called ‘the hub’, named after an iconic meeting spot on campus.

The hub takes a graphic, highly visual approach to storytelling with emphasis on short articles artfully paired with photos, illustrations, and graphics. The popular alumni section was also reworked to include callout stories highlighting individuals within corresponding class years.

JTDC works closely with the Office of Communications shaping the look and feel of each issue including image direction and visual treatments. Online versions can be seen at www.cmc.edu/magazine.
